01 FebStreamlining approval processes for providers

Posted on 01 Feb 2021

ELAA has made a submission regarding a Department of Education and Skills and Employment consultation about streamlining of approval processes of CCS providers. ELAA supports the streamlining of administrative processes to become an approved provider under Family Assistance Law and National Law as described under Option 2 of the Regulatory Impact Assessment. The submission expressed concern about the potential additional administrative burden created for preschools/kindergartens which would also be required to register in Service Australia’s online identity verification system named PRODA (Provider Digital Access). ELAA proposed that only new preschools/kindergartens be required to register in PRODA. Full integration of PRODA with NQA ITS should be addressed as a longer-term objective to ensure that any administrative burden is minimised.
