The VCAA is offering twighlight webinars on infant thinking and theory making plus planning for under 3s and has a reminder re ACEL Conference registrations.

Early Years Twilight Webinars in April & May 2021

  • Webinars are free, and held from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.

Wednesday 28 April 2021: Infant thinking and theory making – connections to frameworks and documentation

  • For early childhood professionals educating and caring for children from birth to three years of age, and who want to better understand children’s thinking and theory-making processes
  • Guest speaker: Dr Sandra Cheeseman, CEO of The Creche and Kindergarten Association

Thursday 27 May 2021: Planning for under 3s using the Early Years Planning Cycle Resource

  • For early childhood professionals educating and caring for children from birth to three years of age
  • Provides guidance on how the Early Years Planning Cycle Resource can be used to observe, assess and respond to evidence of children’s learning from birth to three years of age
  • Facilitators: Mary Holwell (Manager, Early Years Unit) and Karen Hope (Program Manager, Early Years Unit)

Last chance to register for 2021 ACEL Conference

The Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL) is delivering its 5th annual early childhood conference ‘Leading change to support child outcomes’ on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 April (1pm to 5.30pm).

This online conference will be an opportunity to engage, network and collaborate with early childhood leaders and educators from Australia and New Zealand, bringing together renowned local and international leaders, researchers and practitioners in early childhood education.
