19 NovVEYLDF Learning Practice Guide released

Posted on 19 Nov 2019

The VAAA has released the Learning Practice Guide  – a useful resource to assist early years professionals to engage with key concepts of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).

The guide has been written by Dr Jen Jackson and Kate Noble (Mitchell Institute, Victoria University), Dr Jeanne Marine Iorio (College of Arts and Education, Victoria University) and Dr Dan Cloney and Pru Mitchell (Australian Council for Educational Research). It focuses on the theory and pedagogy that underpins day-to-day practice, and assists early years teachers to find ways to recognise children’s confidence and involvement in learning while also illustrating ways in which early childhood professionals can improve their practice in relation to the Learning and Development Outcome.

Watch videos of Dr Jen Jackson and Dr Dan Cloney discussing the assessment of children’s learning.
