10 AugAnnual teacher registration tasks due 30 Sept

Posted on 10 Aug 2022

A reminder from the Victorian Institute of Teaching regarding annual teacher registration …

Teachers will start to receive invoices (via post and email) from mid-August, staggered over two weeks. The invoice will contain instructions on how to complete the annual registration process. Teachers do not need to wait to receive their invoice in order to login to their MyVIT account and complete their annual registration tasks from 17 August 2022.

Remember the quickest and easiest way to check your teachers’ registration status is on the public register or your employer portal. A registered teacher does not need to be in possession of their registration card to prove they are registered to teach.

The VIT receives a large volume of enquiries approaching the annual registration due date. If you need to contact the VIT, please email vit@vit.vic.edu.au or call the Principal hotline on 1300 650 375. It can be difficult to get through if everyone is calling at the same time so to minimise your wait time, the best times to contact VIT are 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm.
