Attraction and retention of quality teachers and educators is front-of-mind for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) providers.
With its superior pay and conditions, the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement 2020 (VECTEA) is the sector benchmark agreement for kindergartens and supports attraction and retention of quality teachers and educators.
The VECTEA 2020, and the agreements that mirror its terms and conditions, reach their nominal expiry date on 30 September 2024. As we have done for many years, ELAA, as your peak body and employer representative, will be entering into re-negotiations with the relevant sector unions in early 2024.
ELAA will host essential information webinars in early October 2023 including information on joining the new VECTEA.
Save the date: upcoming VECTEA Zoom Webinars: 4 and 5 October 2023
ELAA will be hosting three essential webinars for existing VECTEA and non-VECTEA signatories:
- Wednesday, 4 October, 11 am – 12 pm: existing VECTEA 2020 employers
- Wednesday, 4 October, 7.30 pm – 8.30 pm: existing VECTEA 2020 Committees of Management
- Thursday, 5 October, 1 pm – 2 pm: any ELAA members who are not currently signatories to the existing VECTEA.
