Posted on 21 Jun 2023

The Fair Work Commission’s 2022/23 Annual Wage Review will increase wages and allowances for all Modern Awards by 5.75 per cent at the commencement of Term 3.

Updated salaries and allowances will take effect in the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2023.

July 2023 ELAA Award and VECTEA Wages Bulletins

ELAA will be publishing the July Wage Bulletins for the following awards on Monday, 3 July:

Modern awards:

  • Children’s Services Award 2010  [MA000120]
  • Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020 [MA000077]
  • Clerks – Private Sector Award 2020 [MA000002].

VECTEA 2020:

  • VECTEA educator bulletins (46/52 and 52/52 rates)
  • VECTEA teacher bulletin (all teachers, PSFO and Advisors).

VECTEA – out-of-cycle July wage increase (selected classifications)

This increase from the Fair Work Commission is now confirmed to result in a corrective out-of-cycle VECTEA increase to align with the Children’s Services Award 2010 and the Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020.

Members are advised that the 5.75 per cent increase will affect a small number of classifications under the VECTEA 2020 (Levels 1.1 – 1.4 educators, Level 1.1 ECT and Level 3.1 ECT).

Updated VECTEA Wage Bulletins will be published on the ELAA website (member portal) on Monday, 3 July.

ADP Clients

ADP clients are advised that all modern award wages and allowances must be manually updated based on the pay rates in your ELAA Wage Bulletins.

Due to this out-of-cycle increase, ADP will automatically update pay rates for the VECTEA before your payroll submission dates.

Please note that ADP does not update casual or above-award pay rates in its Payline system.

Effective wage increase dates (first full pay period on or after 1 July):

  • In Arrears: pay period commencing on 5 July and ending on 18 July 2023:

-submission dates: Thursday, 20 July or Friday, 21 July.

-eligible employees will receive a pay increase on Wednesday, 26 July 2023.
