ELAA have published an updated resource for Managing Performance Related Concerns (MPRC) that is available for download here.

The MPRC Resource was updated this year in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education & Training (DET) and ELAA’s Industrial Relations Reference Group.

Employers, managers and leaders within services will find the resource useful when managing issues of underperformance and misconduct in the workplace. It will also help to build understanding of industrial relations obligations.

We know that establishing and fostering a positive performance evaluation and development system with employees contributes to employee satisfaction, improved performance and quality, and enables any concerns to be identified early. Our Employee Management & Development (EM&D) Resource can assist with this process.

Nonetheless, there are some circumstances where employee conduct or performance requires an individualised management response by the employer which is the focus of the MPRC Resource.

Information, tip-sheets and tools are included to help guide users through topics including understanding employee management in early childhood, the differences between underperformance and misconduct, and how to determine what approach to take. There are eight tools included in the resource that include plans and template letters that can be tailored to the employer organisation.
