Help your service’s families get the right amount of CCS

A recent advice from the Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) has reminded services to remind families that they need to report their incomes to Services Australia for the “balancing” of Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Families must confirm their income after the end of each financial year to ensure they are paid the right amount of CCS. (more…)

Dear members,

I hope you are all happy and healthy and the week ahead looks great. ELAA’s Board of Management recently endorsed our new long term strategy called “ELAA 2025”.  Over the coming editions of e-news, I will be sharing key elements of the strategy with members.  The strategy development process revealed a rapidly changing sector with increasingly privatised delivery models and a sustained shift in parent demand over time to long day care service provision. DESE announces gap fee waiver extension

2021 National Workforce Census – mandatory for approved childcare providers and encouraged for services

The fourth Early Childhood Education and Care National Workforce Census is being conducted from April to June this year. The National Workforce Census collects detailed information on service usage, children with additional needs, access to preschool programs and staff details, including staff demographics, types of work, qualifications, experience, and current study. This important collection is used to provide a national overview of the early childhood education and care workforce. (more…)
